The Cool Ridge-Flat Top PSD is in the process of obtaining the services of a consulting engineer for a proposed water loss analysis and system improvements project. The selected firm will work closely with all team members including the Cool Ridge-Flat Top PSD and Region I Planning & Development Council. It is anticipated that the consultant will be required to (1) conduct a comprehensive water loss assessment and advise as to appropriate corrective measures, (2) prepare a preliminary engineering report(s), (3) design and prepare construction drawings, bid specifications, and bid documents in accordance with all State, Federal, and Local regulations, (4) evaluate bids received and make recommendation of award, (5) monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, (6) review and approve contractor's pay estimates, (7) preparation and delivery of final "As Built" drawings and data in GIS format (shapefile, geodatabase, etc.) with data georeferenced to and assigned real-world coordinates and accompanied by comprehensive descriptive metadata, and (8) any other services needed by the PSD for the implementation of the project. Procurement of said services shall be in accordance with West Virginia Code Chapter 5G. Consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit detailed qualifications including technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, and related prior experience.
