Number: AC-NHPP-G-117(086)E This project, located in Prince George's County, is for safety and resurfacing of NB and SB US 301, beginning at the MD 214 interchange and ending just south of Excalibur Road for a total distance of 2.43 miles on SB US 301 and 2.45 miles on NB US 301. Inclusive in this work is a study to evaluate the viability, cost/benefit factors and performance of the following Thin Lift Overlay pavement design options on NB US 301: o High Performance Thin Overlay (HPTO) o Open Graded Friction Course (OGFC) placed using CRS-2p tack coat o Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course (UTBWC) The work on NB US 301 and SB US 301 will consist of the following: (a) Micro Milling and/or Fine Milling and Resurfacing existing US 301 pavement, including shoulders and median crossovers. (b) Upgrading existing Traffic Barrier W Beam and end treatments to current standards. (c) Minor Excavation. (d) Installing pavement markings. (e) Cleaning of drainage inlets and pipes. (f) Drainage outfall stabilization. (g) Ditch trimming. (h) Curb and/or curb and gutter replacement. (i) ADA ramps upgrades. (j) Rumble Strips. (k) Improving Bicycle Accommodations (signing and pavement markings. (l) Patching and Crack Sealing A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB).
