Site work for a water / sewer project in Los Angeles, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Contractor agrees to provide to California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) all labor, tools, transportation, equipment, materials, services, licenses, and incidentals necessary to remove and legally dispose of six (6) existing submersible pumps and associated components from three (3) different functional sump pump pits, and furnish and install six (6) new sump/sewage pumps and associated components. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), SBs for the purpose of Public Works (SB-PW), are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 1, in this IFB for requirements. Written Question Submittal 12/05/22 Final Date and Time for Bid Submission 12/08/22 2:00 p.m. Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by 12/05/22. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to shawn.fitzpatrick@dot.ca.gov. The total bid proposal for this Agreement must not exceed $388,000.00 Payment Bond Requirement: If the total contract price exceeds $25,000, Contractor shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. The Payment Bond is due prior to the start date of work. No work may commence without receipt of a valid Payment Bond. The Payment Bond must be in effect at all times for the duration of the Agreement. If the Payment Bond expires during the term of the Agreement, a new Payment Bond must be provided to the Caltrans Contact Manager not less than 10 business days prior to its expiration. Failure to maintain a Payment Bond for the full term of this Agreement will be grounds for termination for default in addition to other legal remedies Caltrans may have. Inadequate or lack of a Payment Bond does not negate Contractor's obligations under this Agreement. Bidder must possess at the time of bid submittal and for the duration of the Agreement, a valid and current C-36 (Plumbing Contractor) or C-61/D-21 (Machinery and Pumps Contractor) license issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB).
