Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Napa, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Thr work generally consists of storm drain replacement and realignment and ADA accessibility improvements. The project will reconstruct the sidewalk adjacent to all four corners of the intersection to feature new ADA compliant curb ramps and pavement. The project will remove and replace two existing catch basins and the connecting storm pipelines. A third existing catch basin will be modified with a new inlet structure to accommodate a new adjacent curb ramp. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications, or estimate, must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after the bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest. The successful bidder must provide Performance and Payment (Labor and Materials) Bonds and are required to comply with the insurance requirements set forth in these Special Provisions. Chapter 2.92 of the Napa Municipal Code requires every Contractor or subcontractor with the City of Napa for Public Works Contracts in the sum of $25,000 or more, be subject to Section 101, Napa City Charter. This requires the Contractor to take affirmative action to ensure non-discriminatory employment practices. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the County, or Counties, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available at City of Napa and available from the California Department of Industrial Relations' Internet web site at. Future effective general prevailing wage rates, which have been predetermined and are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in the general prevailing wage rates. A scanned copy of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Napa, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by you and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of bid, must be submitted (scanned) with each bid. Bids may be held by the City of Napa for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the Contract. The City of Napa reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding
