Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Jackson, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of Jackson is currently inviting qualitied consulting firms to submit proposals for engineering services required for the construction of Lansing Avenue with traffic signals within the City of Jackson. The work for this professional services contract will be divided into tasks as follows: Task 1) Traffic Signal Modernization at four intersections of Ganson Street at Jackson Street, Lansing Avenue at North Street, Lansing Avenue at Clinton Road and Hill Street, and Lansing Avenue at Monroe Street. Also upgrade existing box span at Lansing Avenue and Ganson Street with reflectorized backplates. Signal installations will include backplates, vehicular detection, and pedestrian countdown signals. Task 2) Intersection enhancements on Blackstone Street: Blackstone Street and Lansing Avenue shall be realigned to connect the north leg of Blackstone into Lansing Avenue at a 90 degree. Blackstone Street and Louis Glick Highway shall be realigned to have the north leg of Blackstone with a three lane cross-section to provide a south bound center left turn lane. Task 3) On Lansing Avenue between Steward Street and Clinton Road: the project will implement a 4-3 road diet, The intersection of Lansing Avenue at Clinton Road will be realigned to connect with Hill Street, The roadway will be completely reconstructed with a new hot mix asphalt, new curbs and sidewalk repairs where needed. Water main on Lansing Avenue within the project limits has been replaced with 8 inch ductile iron in 1993. Clinton Road water main is 6 inch cast iron from 1926. Steward Avenue water main is 6 inch cast iron from 1919. Sanitary sewer on Lansing Avenue south of North Street is 12 inch PVC from 1993. Part of the 18 inch sanitary sewer on Lansing Avenue on the south side of Hill Street was lined in 1993. The remaining sanitary sewer pipe in the project limits is from 1907 and 1911 and were constructed as combined sewers. The storm sewers in the project limits was built in the late 1970s as part of the facilities plan to eliminate the combined sewers and have separated sanitary and storm systems.
