Owner Office Crawfordsville Dist / Capital Program Mgmt Contract Type Project Specific Compensation Method Negotiated Labor Rate Two Step Scoring No Allowable Profit Rate 8.5% Plus Overhead Factor Is Federal Funding Involved Yes # of Firms to Select 1 Construction Inspection Services 1 HMA Overlay on SR 71 and 4 Bridge Deck Overlays on various routes in Benton and White Counties The selected consultant will provide construction inspection services for the Crawfordsville District of INDOT on construction contract B-42944, which includes Des Numbers 2000884, 2000389, 2000439, 2000533, and 2000538. The anticipated Letting Date is 7/11/2023. The projected time period of need for construction inspection through substantial completion is estimated from 7/20/23 to 9/30/24. INDOT anticipates needing 1 Project Engineer (5,000 hours) and 3 Inspectors (18,000 hours) during this contract. The work type and the contractor's schedule will ultimately determine the length of time each Project Engineer(s)/Supervisor(s) and Project Inspector(s) will work on this contract. INDOT may require personnel to work in any season, work for up to twelve (12) hours per day, or work at night. The Consultant's personnel shall work under INDOT Area Engineers or their designated representative. The CONSULTANT shall furnish all construction field testing equipment necessary to sample and test materials in accordance with INDOT procedures. The CONSULTANT shall furnish all safety equipment required for construction inspection/testing. The CONSULTANT shall provide personnel local to the Lafayette Area such that neither lodging nor subsistence expenses will be incurred. Letters of Interest (LOIs) must specify the names of the project supervisors and inspectors who will be supplying services under this contract. Additionally, the LOI shall include a map showing the residential locations of these personnel. Personnel identified in the LOI who are not full-time employees at the time of the LOI submittal shall be identified with explanation of employment status. The LOI must identify the specific subject area certifications that personnel have obtained through the INDOT Certified Technician Program (CTP) unless the personnel are exempt. Information on this program can be found at: http://www.in.gov/indot/2403.htm. INDOT will not reimburse for any time or expense incurred in obtaining certifications at any time. INDOT does not allow consultants that performed design to be the prime consultant for inspection and does not allow these consultants to provide the PE/S services. See the INDOT Conflict of Interest Policy for more information. The selected consultant's fee proposal shall be due 15 calendar days after the selection date for this RFP item. A field overhead rate will be used for this contract. Consultants without audited field overhead rates may propose a field rate at the time of contract negotiation.
