The project is expected to be awarded on March 27, 2023. 77th Street Bridge over Tatum Waterway is located between Hawthorne Avenue and Tatum Waterway Drive within the Biscayne Point neighborhood. According to the recent Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Bridge Inspection Reports from 2014 to 2022, this bridge has consistently received a sufficiency rating between 61.9 & 62.5. Since the rating is below the FDOT recommended minimum threshold of 70, improvements are proposed to bring the bridge into compliance. This Project will include enhancements to the bridge's substructure and superstructure. Elements of the bridge affected by the repairs are identified in the plans and specifications. Construction tasks for the Project include but are not limited to rebar replacement, pile jacket installation, and concrete repair (cracks, spalls, and delamination). Regulatory agencies' permits and exemptions acquired: Miami-Dade County DRER: Class I Construction Permit; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers: No permit required correspondence; CMB Building Department: No permit required letter; FDEP: ERP Exemption Letter; and SFWMD: ERP Exemption Letter.
