University of North Texas 14568 and 14569 This project is to replace Aerco boilers in West and Maple Halls that have come to their end lifespan and need to be replaced with a new boilers (Intellihot). Project will require that the contractor have at minimum a State of Texas Journeyman Plumbing License. West Hall Install Intellihot Boiler- 3594-14569 demo Aerco Innovation 1060 #2 boiler. replace with Intellihot IQ1001. provide and install new condensate neutralization kit. replace pvc with cpvc at locations that pertain to the boiler in scope of work. provide and install new gas regulator if needed. test all new pipe, fittings, valves, and insulate with fiberglass insulation. provide and install appropriate labeling with directional arrows on piping associated with the boiler in scope of work. tighten all set screws on conduit coupling pertaining to boiler in scope of work. label electrical junction box that pertains to the boiler in scope of work with panel number and circuit number. perform factory startup on new boiler. provide required temporary boiler operating permit and boiler installation report to be filed with TDLR. provide electrical work for installing a new circuit with proper sized breaker for the required electrical consumption of the new boiler. if needed. install an electrical circuit for a new carbon monoxide detector and install detector for new boiler to local state administration code. rule 65.206. verify the flue has appropriate slope per code. If the flue does not have appropriate slope, bring it up to code. The flue pipe should be 6" Centrotherm.
