Completed plans call for the addition of a parking garage; for the demolition of a parking garage; for the renovation of a parking garage; for site work for a parking garage; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project includes, but us not limited to the following: 1. Move and replace MCC-2 (Building 1) from the second level filter area to the existing garage, which includes the following: - Construct masonry block room and steel roof deck for creating new electrical room in the garage space of Building No. 1. - Install new and modified lighting in new electrical room/garage. - Incorporate programmable logic controller (PLC) panel system additions and replacements. - Install new split system air conditioning for the new electrical room. - Relocate water or fire protection water lines within the garage. 2. Replacement of the standby generator automatic transfer switch (Building 4). 3. Replace standby generator controller (Building 4). The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, in form acceptable to the Jurisdiction, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in the amount fixed in the Instruction to Bidders and shall be in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bank money order drawn on a FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on a FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond on the form provided in the contract documents with corporate surety satisfactory to the Jurisdiction. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. Payment. Payment will be made to the contractor based on monthly estimates in amounts equal to ninety-five (95) percent of the contract value of the work completed during the preceding calendar month, and will be based upon an estimate prepared by the contractor on the first Monday of the month, subject to the approval of the Engineer. Any such payment by the Water Works shall in no way be construed as an act of acceptance for any part of the work partially or totally completed. Final payment by the Water Works will be made in accordance with Iowa Statutes and the contract documents.
