Renovation of a water / sewer project in Craig, Colorado. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
No bid shall be withdrawn after opening the bid without the consent of the City of Craig, for a period of 30 days after the scheduled time for opening bids. The City of Craig, Colorado reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. The bids shall be completely filled out on the bid forms provided. Failure to comply with the provisions of this paragraph will be cause for rejection of bid. The pump included in this RFP moves raw sewage water from an influent wet well to an aeration basin and usually operate around 5 psig. We have four pumps that perform this function of which two are considered redundant. The equipment is refurbished on an approximate 15- year cycle, however the pump in question was submerged in untreated wastewater 4 years ago and lessened the life of pump components. Due to the unique arrangement of the intake and discharge piping, it is difficult to find another pump that would be a direct replacement without requiring a re-design of the piping.
