Orange County, Florida, henceforth referred to as the County is accepting sealed bids for Corrections Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing Upgrades-Building F (Y24-728) Description of Work: PHASE I BUILDING F. The Orange County Corrections Facility will be receiving a full mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression upgrade that includes, new HVAC equipment, duct path, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, low voltage lighting, controls, alongside new acoustic and hard ceilings. These improvements service 3 separate wings of the 6 story Corrections Center. Prior to the new MEP work there is complete and near complete demolition of existing mechanical, fire alarm/fire protection, plumbing and electrical. In addition to the MEP related work there is selective demolition of existing ceilings and metal soffits, concrete floor and roof cutting for new openings. New concrete work includes foundation for new CMU mechanical chase, floor infills, and fluid applied flooring/waterproofing. New ceilings to be installed include removal/replacement of existing ACT, and new Gypsum Wallboard, and cement plaster with new paint. The Estimated Cost for this project is $12,000,000.00. Scope of work: Fire Alarm Systems - Replacement of the existing Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) within Building F located at the 33rd Street Correctional Facility in Orange County, FL. Building F at the 33rd Street Correctional Facility are used for maintaining and housing inmates and the buildings are regularly occupied. The replacement fire alarm system will be required to interface with and support a new smoke control equipment replacement project being designed by another engineering firm.
