In the event that US highway 98 is impassable due to a natural disaster such as flooding or a hurricane, this route will provide safe passage for evacuees from Wakulla and Franklin Counties. This route is an essential evacuation route to allow passage from the south in coastal Panacea. This project will involve paving and resurfacing the coastal evacuation route from the intersection of Jer-Be-Lou Boulevard and Jer-Be-Lou Circle to Joe Mack Smith Street and US 98 Coastal Highway in Panacea Florida. The project will include the resurfacing of approximately 1250 LF of Joe Mack Smith Rd and paving approximately 4,250 LF of unimproved Joe Mack Smith Rd and Jer-Be-Lou Circle. The proposed work shall include all required roadway preparation, base and pavement. No striping or signage will be included in this bid.
