SCOPE OF CONTRACTOR SERVICES
Specifications:
The intent of this invitation for bids is to secure a contractor to perform preventative maintenance on all overhead doors and repairs to overhead and passage entrance doors on an as needed basis for the Owings Mills Maintenance Shop.
A. Owings Mills Maintenance Shop, 10690 Red Run Blvd, Owings Mills, 21117: 23 overhead doors, 12 overhead doors with passage door, 30 exterior passage doors, 2 exterior passage double doors, 34 interior passage doors, 3 interior passage double doors, 1 interior dutch door, 2 rolling overhead window covers, 1 interior fence dutch gate, and 1 interior gate fence
B. Security Yard, 1709 Belmont Avenue, Baltimore, 21244: 2 overhead doors, 1 exterior passage door, 3 interior passage doors
C. Pipe Yard, 5000 Washington Boulevard, Baltimore, 21227: Salt Dome-2 overhead doors and 2 passage doors; Building-1 exterior passage door, 1 exterior double door, 3 interior passage doors Overhead door sizes run from 9 x 10 to 14 x 20. All of the roll up doors are sectional overhead doors on tracks. Pricing for this work shall be lump sum for the preventative maintenance work as described here-in, and time and material pricing for repairs and emergency service.
SMALL BUSINESS PREFERENCE PROCUREMENT
This procurement has been designated as a Small Business Preference in accordance with Title 14, Subtitle 2, of the State Finance and Procurement Article of the Maryland Annotated Code. The preference percentages for this procurement are as follows: Statecertified, small business (not a veteranowned or disable-veteran-owned small business) 5% Statecertified, veteran-owned small business 7% Statecertified, disable-veteran-owned small business 8% Payment:
To receive payment, the Contractor shall submit an original invoice within 15 days of the finished assignment. Payment terms shall be net thirty (30) days upon receipt of the completed invoice. Invoices must contain the complete company name, address, telephone number, contact person, F.E.I. N. (Federal Employment Identification Number), and SHA contract number for this contract and a unique invoice number. Failure to do so may result in delay of payment. The State Highway Administration is exempt from Maryland Sales and Use Taxes by Exemption Certificate Number 3000256- 3 and from Federal Excise Taxes by Exemption Number 52-73-0358K. Do not include tax. The original invoice with signed work receipt and part receipts/invoices shall be sent to SHA Owings Mills Maintenance Facility, Attn: Joe Melton, 10690 Red Run Boulevard, Owings Mills, MD, 21117.
