As of June 2025, the project is in design and in environmental approval process. The owner is in the process of acquiring funding. A firm contractor bidding and construction schedule have not been established. Request for Qualifications for Engineering/ Architectural Services the Kentucky River Area Development District is soliciting qualifications from consulting engineers/architects for professional engineering/architectural services on the Chappell Dairy Building Remodel Project. The Kentucky River Area Development District is remodeling the old Chappell Dairy Building located next door to the KRADD office. KRADD is in the process of renovating the Chappell Dairy Building to include adequate space to house perishable and dry food inventory for our Human Services Department. The Kentucky River Area Development District is seeking the technical assistance of a qualified Engineering/ Architectural consulting firm to assist them in the development, planning, design, and construction observation of qualified projects. Minimum requirements include previous experience in engineering/ architecture on similar projects. The Kentucky River Area Development District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Attention is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, Title VI, Section 504 and EO 11246. Local, minority, and female owned firms are particularly encouraged to participate.
