A timeline for award has not yet been established.** e scope of work is to provide a 2" mill and overlay of approximately 4017' of asphalt pavement on Jahncke St. from East 11th Ave. to East 21st Ave. in Covington, LA. The project begins at the existing break in the pavement approx. 20' south of the East 11th Ave. intersection and proceeds east along Jahncke St. to the northern side of the East 21st Ave intersection. The existing pavement will be milled and overlaid throughout the limits of the project. All roadway striping and cross walks on Jahncke St. shall be replaced in kind and cross walks on all side streets shall be re-striped as directed by the Project Engineer. Single lane closures will only be allowed between the hours of 9 AM and 2 PM during weekdays. No work shall be allowed after 7 PM daily. The Contractor shall hold a Louisiana Contractor's license in the Highway, Street and Bridge Construction Classification. The work consists of milling and overlaying Jahncke St. between East 11th Avenue and East 21st Avenue. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A.C, in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid and payable without conditions to the Owner as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute a Contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.
