Marker, City Administrator 38 West Center Street, Gunnison City, UT 84634 Email: dmarker@gunnisoncity.org Gunnison City has partnered with the local school district, business owners and citizens to revitalize the Gunnison Valley baseball/softball complex. The city now desires to work with an independent contractor to complete the planned improvements and upgrades at the complex. The project will include changing and/or installing new LED ballfield lighting, shade canopies, spectator protective netting, expanded concessions area, and eating facilities. The project will include additional bleachers, shade canopies, picnic area and ballfield lighting Study Location: The ground is located at approximately 90 East 500 South in Gunnison and is attached to the South Sanpete School District Educational campus. The lights for the three softball fields need to be converted to LED lights and oriented for optimal field lighting. Lighting of the fields currently includes the following: o Northwest Field (26 lights on 6 poles) o Northeast Field (26 lights on 6 poles) o Southeast Field (24 lights on 6 poles) This item shall include preparation of a photometric plan based on national high school ballfield lighting standards* and using existing light pole locations and poles, conversion of current lights to LED, electrical upgrades as necessary, installation and orientation of lights to meet the prepared photometric plan. For lighting purposes, the northeast field is the high school's competition softball field. The northwest and southwest fields are recreation fields fastpitch/softball fields. Baseball field Lights Additive Alternate There are currently no ballfield lights for the southwest (high school baseball) field. A lighting study similar to Item 1 shall be prepared along with a cost estimate for poles and lights for this field. This item includes the cost of preparing the study and cost estimate. Depending on availability of funds, the city may authorize the lighting of the baseball field per the prepared lighting plan
