The Work called for in these Bid Documents includes the removal and proper disposal of the existing video scoreboard display at Burke High School and the replacement of the old video scoreboard display with a new LED video scoreboard display meeting the requirements of the Bid Documents. Bids are to be completed on the bid form contained in the Bid Documents. A copy of the bid with original signatures by the bidder, including all required information, attachments and exhibits, and including a bid bond prepared and submitted as required in Section 1.2, are to be submitted to the District in accordance with the requirements of the Bid Documents. An original certified check or cashier's check payable to the Board of Education or a satisfactory original Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. If an original cashier's or certified check or an original signed Bid Bond as required by this Section is not received by the District by the bid submission deadline, the bid will not be considered. The Bid Bond or cashier's or certified check will be retained as liquidated damages in case the bidder awarded the Contract fails to furnish the required Performance, Labor and Materials Bond, insurance certificate, or sign the Contract within ten (10) days after notification of award. The notice shall state of the exterior of the envelope the following: "Withdrawal of bid for OPS Burke High School LED Video Scoreboard Replacement, (Bid No. 23-026)." Withdrawal of a bid must be made by a bidder prior to 2:00 p.m. Central time on the on the day of the bid due date. Email, facsimile, telephone or verbal withdrawal will NOT be accepted and will be rejected. If properly withdrawn, a bid may be resubmitted in accordance with the Bid Documents so long as it is resubmitted prior to the deadline for submission of bids. After opening of bids, the bids shall remain open and subject to acceptance by the District for one hundred twenty (120) days following opening and may not be withdrawn or modified by bidder prior to the expiration of such one hundred twenty (120) day period. Following Board of Education approval, the awarded bidder shall be notified by the District via email. At the time of the bid award, the District will also elect whether to accept Alternate #1 (Extended warranty) and Alternate #2 (Extended Substantial Completion date). The District shall have the right to accept both Alternates, reject both Alternates or accept one of the Alternates and not accept the other. When the Agreement with the District is executed, the successful bidder shall provide the District with an Insurance certificate, as specified in Sections 2.18, 2.19 and 2.20 and a Performance, Labor and Materials Bond using the form appended to the bid documents.
