Description of the Project is as follows: This WORK consists of constructing a non-reinforced concrete pad with apron and reinforced concrete wall with side wall extending to roof to match slope of new Salt Building made with treated lumber and corrugated metal panels to house salt for The Village of Southern View. Attention is called to the fact that only bid proposals that cover all the WORK will be accepted and read aloud. Partial bids will not be accepted. Attention is called to the fact that this project is subject to the Public Construction Bond Act, 30 ILCS 550/1, and the successful bidder shall be required to provide a performance and payment bond in the amount of the contract in such form and manner as required by that Act. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Village of Southern View, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to Ten Percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid for each Contract. The Village reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, any or all bid items, or to waive any informalities in the bidding, and/or award process. Bids may be held by the Village for a period of 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
