Renovation of an educational facility in Heath, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of March 23, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Responses must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Director of Purchasing and be marked with the proposal name and number. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids/proposals and to waive any irregularities, technicalities, or informalities in any bids or the bid process Any explanation desired or questions by a vendor regarding the meaning or interpretation of these instructions or any other documents included in this solicitation must be requested in writing to RISD, Director of Purchasing, 1050 Williams Street, Rockwall, TX 75087 (jana.hunter@rockwallisd.org) with sufficient time allowed for a reply to reach vendors before the submission of their offers. The email subject line for questions should read: "Questions" followed by the solicitation number and title. The deadline for questions regarding this solicitation is February 10, 2023. Purpose: Rockwall ISD is requesting proposals for procuring and installing additional athletic lockers at Heath HS Owner Representatives: During Procurement - Jana Hunter, Director of Purchasing During Project Execution - Eddie Guajardo, Facilities Project Manager Scope Notes: Provide a turnkey install of metal lockers throughout the Men's and Woman's athletic area. In this scope, there will be electrical termination and concrete masonry unit removal. Contractor Responsibilities: The Contractor's responsibilities are included but not limited to: 1. Contractor shall only use personnel who are skilled in the work required, completely familiar with the manufacturer's recommended methods of installation, and thoroughly familiar with ADA requirements. 2. Contractor shall provide all necessary permits. 3. Contractor shall provide all necessary tools and machinery for this work. 4. Contractor shall wear identifying apparel and badging as deemed required by the District. 5. Contractor shall perform work in a personal and safe manner without interrupting normal business/ class routines. This may require after hour work and or weekends depending on location. 6. Contractor shall be responsible for keeping the work site safe and clean at all times. 7. Contractor to provide safety cones or safety barrier when needed. 8. Contractor is responsible for removing all refuse during and when job is complete, no disposing in district dumpsters. 9. Contractor to provide a one-year warranty on all work. 10. Contractor is responsible for any damage to school property, including but not limited to paint, floors, etc. Installation: 1. Contractor to provide all metal lockers as well as all accessories. 2. Contractor to provide a 4" base for Varsity and Junior Varsity lockers. 3. All bases and lockers to be level. 4. Use best suitable anchors to fasten base to the ground making sure all is level. 5. Fasten Lockers to the base and walls using the best suitable fasteners. Use appropriate locker material to fill in any gaps. 6. Assure all lockers open and close properly after installation. 7. In the JV locker room, remove ADA bench and locker platforms. Both are concrete and center block. 8. Grind smooth for new lockers and apply matching floor epoxy. 9. Install new ADA compliant bench and single locker to new location ( see example in pic below). 10. Number new lockers using the current number sequence. Verify with District before ordering. 11. No combination on lockers. Option to use pad locks. 12. Terminate any electrical wall outlets at breaker, as well as wall electrical tracking/raceways that will be behind all new lockers and replace with blank covers. RISD would like to keep as much electrical as possible for use. 13. Remove and reinstall any white boards or mirrors, TV's that will need to be re-located. 14. Remove and demo any shelving. Locker Description: 1. Men's Athletic Lockers: Option 1 Dimensions: 24" Wide X 18" Deep X 72" Tall, Color Black. Vented Lockers. Include accessory compartment on top and bottom. Both with padlock locking option. No built in combination locks. Provide 4" base for lockers to rest on and secure to wall. Provide any wall spacers to hide gaps, see ex. Number lockers accordingly. Relocation of ADA locker and bench in boys JV area. Remove any electrical tracking and terminate electrical supply, replace with blank covers.
