Site work and renovation of a civil project in Middletown, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of December 30,2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on January 5, 2023.** The project consists of the following: o Coordinate with the Town of Wallkill Water and Wastewater Supervisor or his/her designatee. o Furnish and install 625 LF of 8 SDR-35 PVC piping for gravity sewer. o Furnish and install 850 LF of 4 HDPE piping for proposed force main. o Furnish and install a pump station, valve vault and appurtenances. o Furnish and install two (2) manholes. o Demolish Western Avenue Pump Station and modify existing manhole. o Convert Pleasant Avenue Pump Station into a manhole and demolish the existing valve vault. o Furnish and install a 50 kW generator and natural gas piping. Electrical connections by others. o Furnish and install the electrical stanchion and control panel. Electrical connections by others. o Restore the entire site. o Employ Erosion and Sediment Control Measures. o Coordinate with the Electrical Contractor for power connections. o The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, utilities, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work as specified in the Technical Specifications and as shown on the Plans. o This project is funded with New York State Financial Assistance and is subject to MWBE and SDVOB goals and additional required documentation. If documents are requested by mail, provide your Federal Express/UPS number or add $45.00 per set. All checks shall be drawn payable to Pitingaro & Doetsch Consulting Engineers P.C. and mailed via first class mail to 15 Industrial Drive, Suite 2, Middletown, NY 10941---- OR --- these documents may be sent electronically for $25.00 upon an email request to Linda Kump at lkump@panddengineers.com. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of the Bid, payable to the Town of Wallkill as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. The Town of Wallkill hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Owner. Bidders are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements relating to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, and Executive Order 11246. Bidders are also required to comply with the provisions of Sections 291-299 of the Executive Law of the State of New York and all other applicable laws and regulations. The Town of Wallkill hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.
