Site work and paving for a road / highway in Selah, Washington. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The existing pavement in Selah on SR 823 is deteriorating due to normal wear and tear. This project will pave the road per recommendations from the materials report. Paving is necessary to extend the life of the roadway, prevent potholes, and continue safe operation of the highway. This project will also restore delineation. As of March 01, 2023, this project is in Final Planning status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2019. The contract advertisement is expected in first quarter of 2023 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the fourth quarter of 2023. WSDOT - SR 823 / E Naches Ave to N Wenas Rd Wye - Paving *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
