Work consists of: Delegated design and installation of a new fire suppression piping through the interior areas of the housing unit and make the connections to the existing water supply inside the house near the existing water heater. The system design shall be completed by a certified fire design engineer and submitted to the NPS Mid-West Region Structural Fire Program Manager for final approval. The new fire suppression will not require glycol-based equipment. All exposed fire suppression piping and heads in interior areas will be covered in cove molding (Decro-Shield System or equal). Fire suppression system must meet ICC International Fire Code, 2021 Edition NFPA-13R Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Low-Rise Residential Occupancies, 2022 Edition (NFPA 13R) and provide proper coverage to interior areas.
