This Sources Sought Notice will be utilized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District to establish a list of sources interested in the Lexington Harbor Breakwater Repair project. Interested sources are encouraged to respond. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project site is located on the west shore of Lake Huron, about 20 miles north of Port Huron, Michigan. The harbor services primarily recreational navigation interests. The purpose of this project is to add a minimum 900 linear feet of king pile wall alongside the Lexington Breakwater that runs north and south. This is needed to fix the inner harbor shoaling problem that currently exists. Portions of the breakwater are permeable and is allowing sand to come through. The steel sheet pile wall will stop that from happening. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a small business size standard of $39.5 million.
