GDOT intends to solicit responses for design and construction services for a new frontage road south of I-16, from US 280 / SR 30 to near CR 11 / Jernigan Road in Bryan County. This new frontage road will consist of four travel lanes (two lanes in both directions), a median, and rural shoulders. The frontage road will include a temporary traffic signal at US 280 / SR 30 until a permanent roundabout is installed during a subsequent project. This project will be awarded to a Design-Builder utilizing a Two-Phase Low Bid (Shortlist) method. A Design-Builder includes a Lead Contractor and a Lead Design Consultant working together to design and construct the project.
