Renovation of a mixed-use development in Mississauga, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; office development; and theater / auditorium.
The purpose of this Request for Tender (RFT) is to procure for The Corporation of the City of Mississauga, construction services for Burnhamthorpe Library & Maja Prentice Theatre. Without limiting the project scope, which is described in detail in the Contract Documents, the Work involves addition of mechanical and electrical equipment and the renewal of existing mechanical and electrical equipment in the building through two (2) phases. Phase 1 - provide additional cooling to second floor Office addition and install new electrical panel associated with new equipment. Phase 2 - replace two rooftop units and associated ductwork, controls, and components serving the Theater, and replace existing electrical panel in Theatre Controls Room. Estimated Contract Award Date: Monday, January 16, 2023. Construction Start Date - Phase 1 Offices: Monday, April 3, 2023. Construction Start Date - Phase 2 Theatre: Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Substantial Performance Date: Friday October 27, 2023.
