Howe Building, one of the Crown's major office holdings in downtown Ottawa, is a 142,000 gross square meters, mixed-use facility. Built in 1977, it is a combination of three levels of commercial, two inter-connected 11 story office towers, and three levels of underground parking (P1, P2, and P3), and one service level (S1) which contains 484 parking space. The above grade portion of the building is irregular in shape, while the below grade portions and the first above grade level is generally rectangular in plan. Located in the centre of downtown Ottawa just steps from Parliament Hill, it occupies an entire city block between Queen, Sparks, Bank and Kent Streets with two official addresses; 240 Sparks Street and 235 Queen Street. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Proponents are advised that they must preregister via email to Alvaro.Hernandez@bgis.com by November 23, 2022 before 2:00 PM to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Proponents representative being refused access to the site. BGIS will contact all Proponents that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
