The Greater Weirton Senior Center ("Center") has received federal Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funds from the City of Weirton through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the replacement of the Center's existing HVAC System. The Center has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering firms or individual engineering consultants to provide for the design of the replacement of the Center's existing HVAC system. It is the Center's objective to enter into a contract with the most qualified engineer or engineering firm to provide project consultation, preparation of design documents (including cost estimation), construction administration, as well as all phases of design, assistance with bidding and negotiation, contract administration, HUD Office of Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) Labor Standards' Employee Interviews, evaluation of certified payrolls, inspections, payment authorizations, Section 3 Compliance (as applicable), and project closeout. Statements of Qualifications may be held by the Greater Weirton Senior Center for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date the proposals are due. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
