The project consists of the following: The Base Bid shall include the replacement of the existing roofing and chimney repair, including flashings, sealants, and underlayment, provision of new eave and rake framing and trim, soffits, and installation of new roof ventilation components at the main roof and entrance roof. 320 square feet of 5/8" CD"X" plywood roof sheathing replacement, including fasteners, shall be included in the Base Bid. In addition, a unit price per square foot for additional roof sheathing for 384 square feet. New joint sealant and backer rod shall be installed along the joint between the existing brick chimney and the siding for the full height of the building on both sides of the chimney. The removal of existing and installation of 50 linear feet of new Western Red Cedar Bevel Siding 1/2 x 6 in. Grade A Clear siding boards to match existing profile and exposure, including fasteners. In addition, a unit price per linear foot for additional siding for 50 LF. Payment must be received prior to obtaining said specifications either by mail or in person. The said Contract Documents and Proposal sheets may be examined at the Township of Stafford, Purchasing Department, 260 East Bay Avenue, 2nd Floor Room 276, Manahawkin, New Jersey, 08050. Bid Submission Procedures: Bid must be on the bid form prepared by Owen, Little & Associates, Inc., in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications. Bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of the project and the name and address of the Bidder. Bid security is required in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents.
