Work will include the construction of a traffic signal at Highway 180 and 2nd Street West and the extension of the Eastbound Right Turn Lane on HWY 180 to Southbound SR 59. Erosion control and temporary traffic control will be included with this project. Qualified contractors are invited to Bid. This contract is for the purpose of providing all materials and labor to complete the project in conformance with the Specifications. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material and/or supply needs. All bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority owned business and women business enterprises. The Contractor will be required to obtain a business license from the City to operate within the Corporate Limits. Sealed bids may be mailed or delivered directly to the City of Gulf Shores prior to the public opening. All bidders must use the Bid Form provided in the Contract Documents and show on the envelope "SEALED BID," the Bidder's name, the name of the bid/project, and the opening date and time.
