The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN) Construction Management Department is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP); to initiate the selection of a qualified Contractor to enter into an agreement with the Owner to perform construction services for a wood post or steel beam metal building to be utilized as a new equipment building for the PBPN Lands department to be located at 15185 K Road, Mayetta, KS. The Contractor will construct at minimum a 72' x 120' x 18'6" Wood truss or steel beam metal building. All posts or beams are to be fastened to the concrete footing / stem wall that will need to be engineered / designed for the project. Chosen vendor will be responsible for all work for the building as proposed (concrete, barn installation, doors, Electrical). Project can start once contracts are signed. Completion is preferred as early as possible, with an absolute completion date of 12/31/2023. The Surety issuing the Performance and Payment Bond must have a general rating of "A" and shall be a Class V or higher in the financial size category as defined by Best's Key Rating GuideProperty and Casualty. If the Bidder fails to furnish the Performance and Payment Bond within fourteen (14) calendar days, after the official signing of the PBPN Goods and Services Contract and the Notice of Award, PBPN may elect to move to the next qualifying applicant and the Contract shall be terminated. Within the bid submission shall be a letter from bonding company certifying that the contractor is bondable and upon successful contract approval a Performance Bond can be secured for the project. . Final selection of candidates will be on a basis of their apparent ability to meet the overall expectations of PBPN, as determined solely by the PBPN.
