A. The work of this project is defined in the Contract Documents and includes, but may not be limited to the following: 1. Removal of the existing built-up asphalt roof with granular cap sheet and gravel at main building. Metal roof deck shall remain. 2. Inspection of existing roof drains. Existing roof drains shall be verified for functionality. Roof drains that are not functioning as intended shall be repaired/unclogged as necessary or replaced as required. 3. Existing roof assembly thickness at roof drains shall be maintained to allow for new roof assembly to fit without altering the height of the roof drains. 4. Cleaning of existing surfaces to remain. 5. Installation of self-adhered vapor barrier to existing metal deck. 6. Installation of self-adhered vapor barrier to existing gypsum concrete deck. 7. Mechanical attachment of new ISO insulation board at steel deck. 8. Adhesive attachment of new ISO insulation board at Gypsum concrete deck. 9. Adhesive attachment of cover board and PVC membrane. 10. In areas where the Contractor and Engineer determine that steel deck or other roof deck needs to be repaired or replaced due to deterioration, Contractor shall ensure that concealed spaces above lay-in ceilings are free from roof debris resulting from roof deck replacement. For the Hobbton High School Roof Replacement. The project consists of the removal of existing built-up asphalt roof at this location as indicated in Drawings. This is a partial roof replacement project. Roof shall be replaced with new ISO insulation board and new PVC membrane.
