All bids will be evaluated by OWNER and the project will be awarded, if it is awarded, within sixty (60) days of the bid opening The old BB&T Bank located at 201 South Main Street in Greensboro, GA, is a renovation and addition project, that will provide the city of Greensboro a new headquarters. The building will contain the Utilities Department, City offices, Planning and Zoning Department, and the City Council Chambers, as well as some shared conference rooms. The building has concrete block walls, a steel joist system for both floor and roof, and a mansard - style roof system. There are 2 enclosed stairwells, and no elevator. The second floor has roof access through a hatch from a ladder. The building also has a pneumatic tube travel system that leads to an exterior drive-thru service lane. Prior to beginning construction/addition work to this building, the city would like to replace the roof, and renovate the drive through covered area.
