The Site is well located in South Lee County, Florida, between Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and I-75 adjacent to Gulf Coast Town Center and West Lake Village, the University's off-campus student housing complex. The site is 1.5 miles north of the the University's main campus and is served by a university shuttle bus. The goal for the project is to develop rental housing that is attainable by middle-income workers, in particular those who work for the University. The vertical improvements will be owned and operated by the Developer. The Board of Trustees would like to consider realizing the value of the land in terms of discounted rent on a number of units reserved specifically for employees of the university.
