Renovation of an educational facility in Danbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Western Connecticut State University is seeking bid proposals for all labor and materials required to replace the two elevators in Newbury Residence Hall on 2 Eighth Avenue in Danbury. Generally, the scope of work includes complete removal of the two existing piston elevators including cabs and all associated machinery and replacement with two new side traction, machine-room-less elevators. Elevator installation will require removal of existing elevator doors and surrounding concrete masonry wall to accommodate side traction elevator doors in new configuration. Please note: The CT Department of Labor's Prevailing Wage Rates requirement shall apply to this project.
