The City of Mississauga (the "City") owns and operates several building locations that use radio equipment. There is also a requirement for replacement radio equipment & accessories, installation and professional services from time to time. In parallel to brick and mortar locations, our Transit Operations, Enforcement Divisions, Mississauga Fire Services, Works Operations and Facilities staff make use of portable and mobile radio equipment and accessories. New equipment, equipment repairs and/or professional installation services may be required for new projects, life cycle replacement or improvement projects. In order to maintain this portfolio of radio equipment and keep it in a state of good repair, the IT Division may outsource radio equipment repairs, accessories, installation and professional services including consulting services on an as-needed basis. Due to the continued volume of work anticipated over the next several years, the IT Division is seeking to create a roster of Radio sales and service firms to retain their services on an 'as and when requested' basis. Bidders should possess qualified resources to complete assignments related to a particular project or initiative, which addresses a specific IT requirement. Assignments are usually not large projects, although they may be subsets of larger projects. Assignments may be highly specialized and require rare or unique skills or knowledge over a defined period of time. The City is hereby inviting competent firms to submit Bids for the provision of a variety of Radio equipment, accessories and professional and/or consulting services. The intent is to create a Roster, which the City may call upon to provide Radio equipment, accessories and professional/consulting services over the next five (5) years, with the option to renew for a single additional five (5) year period, based on satisfactory performance and available funding at the City's sole discretion. Firms will be required for the following categories. Additional details can be found in the Statement of Roster Requirements. Bidders may Bid on any or all categories and will be selected based on the evaluation criteria detailed in this RFP. Role 1 Radio Equipment and Accessories Role 2 Labor, Installation and Repair Services Role 3 Consultation Services Qualified Bidders are those that, based on the City's evaluation, are found to have the appropriate qualifications and experience for carrying out work in the respective categories they are applying for. Qualified Bidders (as applicable per category) should: Hold the applicable certifications related to the Roles they are applying for; Hold the appropriate level of general liability insurance, professional liability insurance and comply with WSIB requirements as outlined under each of the following agreements: Support and Services Master Agreement (SSMA), Hardware Acquisition Agreement (HAA), and Consulting Master Services Agreement (CMSA); Have a minimum of three (3) years of public sector experience in the Role they are applying for and must be able to demonstrate relevant experience and successful delivery of three (3) prior projects or engagements with a similar Role; Provide Radio Hardware & Accessories, Sales, Repair and Consulting Services as a key line of business for the firm (Staffing companies will not be considered for this Roster); Demonstrate sufficient ability, capacity, experience and skills needed to provide Radio Repair, Consultation and Installation Services; Accept the City's Support and Services Master Agreement (SSMA), Hardware Acquisition Agreement (HAA) and Consulting Master Services Agreement (CMSA). Any changes or specific alternate language to the Support and Services Master Agreement (SSMA), Hardware Acquisition Agreement (HAA) and the Consulting Master Services Agreement (CMSA) proposed by the Bidder are subject to approval by the City. The roster will be in place for a period of five (5) years from the award date, with the option to extend for a single additional five (5) year period, based on satisfactory performance and available funding at the City's sole discretion. During the Roster Term the City reserves the right to open the roster to qualify new firms for inclusion in the roster. The opening of the roster will be facilitated through a Proposal process at the City's sole discretion. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
