Welding and Fabrication Services- Atlantic Institution This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Atlantic Institution Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid. Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Indigenous Suppliers. Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement. Security Requirements: This standing offer does not include security requirements. The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement for welding and fabrication services at Atlantic Institution. The work under this Standing Offer includes, but is not limited to, the provision of all labour, consumables, tools, supervision and equipment necessary to perform welding and fabrication services for maintenance and construction to the building. The Contractor must provide specialized labour, materials and equipment to perform maintenance and construction work related to welding and fabrication. The Contractor must provide all types of welding and fabrication required by the institution. The Contractor must repair or replace as required all metal shelving, metal desks and metal food slots. The contractor must perform cell bed upgrades as per specified design provided by the Project Authority. The Contractor must work in co-operation with other subcontractors specializing in various disciplines that may be working on site at the same time. The Contractor must complete all work using good trade practices and applicable standards as directed by the Departmental Representative. The Contractor must provide to the Department Representative, after each visit, a service report containing details of all work performed. When applicable, the Contractor must provide a list of defects, or deficiencies, or both discovered during the visit with recommended corrective actions and an estimated budget cost to correct any deficiencies. The Contractor must provide all maintenance and repair activities reports to the following email: GEN-ATLRHQTechServ@csc-scc.gc.ca. The Contractor must submit all documents and reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. When responding to a service request, the Contractor must send one journeyman. The Contractor must obtain written approval by the Departmental representative for additional required personnel. The Contractor must receive a call-up from the Departmental Representative prior to performing any work. When at the site, the Contractor must contact the department representative to report every time there is an issue related to the work requested. On completion of the work, the Contractor must leave the site clean and free of debris and waste materials, tools and equipment. The Contractor must clean up the site to the satisfaction of the Departmental Representative. The Contractor must remove waste from government property in compliance with federal, provincial and municipal environmental protection regulations. For toxic liquids and water containing suspended particles, the Contractor must have each load approved by the Departmental Representative. Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none. Estimated quantity of commodity: see solicitation document statement of work and basis of payment. Duration of Standing Offer and Time Frame for Delivery: Period of the Standing Offer: The Work is to be performed during the period of December 19th, 2022 to July 28th, 2023. The Crown reserves the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement. After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
