Tinicum Township is seeking a qualified consultant to perform a comprehensive feasibility study and alternatives analysis to determine a preferred alignment for a multi-use trail connection between the existing Industrial Heritage Parkway/ East Coast Greenway Trail along State Road PA 291, and the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge. . The Consultant shall aid a project-steering committee in evaluating the potential trail connection alternatives to determine which option will be the most feasible for the Township to implement and be the most beneficial to its constituents. The East Coast Greenway Trail Connector Feasibility Study shall identify potential trail alignments, and select a preferred alternative alignment based on a variety of factors. The goal of this project is to produce an alternative, multi-modal alignment that provides the community with a safe trail connection to augment the connectivity and accessibility of existing trail networks and the significant locations throughout the Township and its neighboring areas. The plan will be funded in part by a grant awarded in 2022 from Delaware County Greenways Municipal Grant Program administered by Delaware County Planning Department. The Tinicum Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept any or all Proposals or parts thereof, or to reject any or all Proposals or parts thereof, for any cause whatsoever, as they deem for the best interest of the Township.
