Work to be performed is the replacement of a 9.5 foot diameter metal cuiver, clearing the flow line of the adjacent ditch of marked trees, stumps and debris, and repairing and riprapping of flagged eroded embankment along the roadside ditch. All contractors must be pre-approved by the KY Transportation Cabinet. The Fiscal Court reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. SCOPE OF WORK
The Fulton County Fiscal Court proposes to: (1) Replace the culvert on Maddox Road located at Lat. 3632'09" N and 8906'04" W with a 12-gage corrugated metal culvert with dimensions of approximately 5' 8" vertically and 8' 2" horizontally, 60 feet in length, or the nearest size available on the market. The bidder
must specify the size of the pipe in the bid document. The culvert shall be installed in accordance with the latest standard promulgated by KY Transportation and
minimum coverage between the culvert and road pavement
shall be governed by KY Transportation latest standard
(12.6.6.3).
(2) Rip rap the inlet and outlet of the culvert to prevent
erosion using construction standards promulgated by the KY
Transportation Cabinet latest standards.
(3) Stabilize the embankment on opposite side of the outlet
of culvert and rip rap to prevent further erosion in
accordance with standards promulgated by KY Cabinet of
Transportation. (4) Stabilize embankment in two locations
north of the culvert, marked with flagging, and replace lost
riprap. (5) Cut and remove all trees, bushes, and stumps, marked
with red paint, along the waterway of the ditch. The
