The Invitation to Bid (ITB) seeks competitive bids from qualified Firms to provide Rock Crushing Services involving crushing rock to produce approximately 30,800 tons of 1/4-inch Chip Seal Aggregate Material and approximately 40,800 tons of 3/8-inch Chip Seal and Pit Run Aggregate. This scope of work includes the provision of all labor and equipment necessary to produce the crushed aggregate quantity required. Complete production and delivery of all crushed aggregate shall be on or before September 30, 2023. This completion date is predicated on the intent of ACHD to issue a "Notice to Proceed" to the Contractor on or about January 11, 2023. ACHD shall be entitled to "Liquidated Damages" of $500.00 for each calendar day of delay in the completion of the work. All questions or clarifications concerning this Invitation To Bid or the content and requirements of the Bid and Contract Documents must be submitted and received in writing by 4:30 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. ACHD will respond to questions and clarification requests requiring an addendum via a Final Addendum issued to all Bid Holders on or before 4:30 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022. ACHD has prepared the Contract Documents and copies must be obtained from the website. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond issued by a surety authorized to issue such bonds in the State of Idaho, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the cost proposal submitted. The apparent low-cost Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the contract and supply the necessary insurance documents as prescribed in the Contract Documents. ACHD reserves the right to reject all bids or reject any bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents whenever such action appears to be in the best interest of ACHD. Award of a contract pursuant to this procurement may be delayed, without penalty, for up to sixty (60) calendar days after the date of bid. Expected Bonding Amount: $2,700,000.00
