The District of Saanich (District) is looking for an RCABC qualified roofing contractor to remove existing roof components down to the existing plywood or steel roof decks and install new roof assemblies on Roof Areas A, T1, T2, T3, and T5 at the Saanich Public Safety Building. Provide all labour, materials and products as specified in the drawings and specifications to accommodate the work. Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: On Roof Areas A, T1, T2, T3, and T5: Remove existing system components, projection and perimeter flashings, and old appurtenances down to existing plywood or steel roof decks in preparation for installation of a new 2 ply SBS waterproofing system in accordance with Section 07 52 00. Removed components, projection and perimeter flashings, and old appurtenances to be disposed to an appropriate site. .1 Allow for modification and extension of the existing cables and conduits in order to accommodate the Work and install in new weather head flashings. .2 Allow for modifying or cutting of existing stucco wall cladding or any other type of wall cladding in order to accommodate the minimum height requirement above the finished roof level and as shown per project details. .3 Remove, cut, modify, and reinstall existing roof access door to suit new sill height above the finished roof level. .4 Contractor is responsible for lifting and reinstalling the RTU units on the existing or new curb locations per project details. .5 Temporarily lift and install existing AC units on new concrete paver support pads, and/or new raised roof curbs per project details. .6 Raise existing sleepers for existing ductwork, cut and modify existing supports to accommodate the new finished roof level. Review entire existing roof deck with the Consultant to identify damaged areas requiring repair or replacement. Install new compatible deck materials where required to repair and restore existing deck. Install new wood blocking and plywood at perimeters as required. Prime all exposed metal, wood, and concrete surfaces to receive new vapour retarder membrane and flashing. Install new roofing assembly, including, new gypsum deck overlay board, modified bitumen vapour retarder, insulation, slope package, modified bitumen base sheet, cap sheet and membrane flashings Documents can be obtained from https://saanich.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities
