Stearns Avenue Water Main Upgrade and Drainage Modification Project in Mansfield, Massachusetts, in accordance with the specifications and documents. The Project consists of: Stearns Avenue Water Main Upgrade and Drainage Modification Project, which includes, but is not limited to providing approximately 2,700 linear feet of 8 inch diameter water main, including valves, fittings and appurtenances, hydrants, including hydrant laterals, water services including curb stops and curb boxes, *a portion of the drainage infrastructure, and hot mix asphalt pavement; all materials and equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work as a base bid except (*) above, drainage infrastructure work as alternate 1. Wage rates as determined by the Mass. Commissioners of the Department of Labor and Industries apply to this project. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount that is no less than five (5%) percent of the proposal amount made payable to The Town of Mansfield. Bid deposits shall be a certified check, bid bond, treasurers check or cashiers check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. A Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance will be required. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the General Laws, Chapter 149 Section 44A through 44J as most recently amended, and other applicable laws. The Town of Mansfield reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid or portion thereof deemed by them to be in the best interest of the Town.
