Renovation of a fire / police facility in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Fire Protection System - Marlborough Police Dept. Remove and replace the existing pre-action system in the dispatch and computer server rooms. Existing wet pipe system will remain as-is. The Project is for the replacement of a failed pre-action sprinkler system in the 911 Call Center at the City of Marlborough Police Station located at 355 Bolton Street in Marlborough. The call center and adjacent server room is active and as such, protection of equipment and coordination with the Police department during all demolition and construction activities is crucial. The Project consists of the replacement of the existing pre-action sprinkler system and all associated components including electrical equipment, pre-action control systems and compressor, refer to system requirements ....through section 6. Contractor shall protect all existing surfaces to remain and all equipment from all construction activities, all items scheduled to be replaced shall be removed from the site daily and disposed of or recycled in an appropriate manner. All work shall be coordinated with the City of Marlborough Facilities Department and scheduled so as not to impede official operations of the Police Department. System requirements as detailed in attached Fire Protection Narrative by BLW Engineers dated October 21, 2022. Sections 3 through Section 6. Questions must be received no later than Friday, December 9 at 5:00 pm. Responses will be posted to the City's bid page with notification to all on record as having downloaded the documents.
