All technical questions shall be submitted through electronically , Question Deadline 03/24/2026 PROJECT DESCRIPTION This report presents the results of the geotechnical investigation conducted for the study of the subgrade conditions for existing pavement distress along Woodbridge Parkway from State Highway 78 to approximately 240 feet south of Creek Crossing Lane in Sachse, Texas. The roadway is currently a four-lane concrete road (Minor Arterial – Classification S4-D per Table 2-1 of The City of Sachse Engineering Design Manual), with two lanes for each direction of travel separated by landscaped median, with grass and mature trees. Mature trees are also present within 5 to 10 feet of pavement boundaries along each direction of travel. At the time of the field investigation, extensive cracking in the pavement was observed. Geotex was informed that the perceived cause of cracking was due to root growth from adjacent mature trees. The purpose of this geotechnical investigation is to provide recommendations for subgrade improvement and pavement design, as well as recommendations for a root barrier system to mitigate future distress from the adjacent trees.
