The City of Parkersburg will receive sealed bids for City Park Pool Pump Replacement Project No bid will be accepted without the contractor S W.V. License number being included on the bid submission. The successful bidder may be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. Each bidder shall require a certified check, bank draft or acceptable surety bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Section 202 of Executive order No 11246. All questions must be made in writing and emailed to Adam Stout, PE at adam.stout@parkersburgwv.gov Scope of Work All work shall be performed as indicated on plans and specification and include every aspect of work as obvious or implied and necessary to make work complete and fully operational. The general scope of work for this project is as follows: Base Bid o Provide and install new motor, pump, and platform assembly in the pump room located at the City Park pool. This shall include all necessary plumbing modifications to make the system fully operational. If required by pump manufacturer, a concrete base may need to be poured to allow for proper installation. Add Alternate # 1 o Provide only a spare pump and motor that can be easily interchangeable with base bid pump. Add Alternate # 2 o Install two new motors, pumps, and platform assemblies that are plumbed into existing lines so that the pump assemblies can be switched from one pump to another. In this configuration a lock out device should be included so that both pumps cannot be running at the same time. Valves shall be installed so that pumps can be isolated. If required by pump manufacturer, concrete bases may need to be poured to allow for proper installation
