A timeline for award has not yet been established.**  The project involves the following site improvements at the Smyrna Readiness Center: mill and overlay of the existing North and South POV parking lots / driveways, restriping of the parking lot, painting of existing concrete light pole bases and hydrants, new vehicular safety loops, and replacement of bollard covers. Alternate #1 includes the repair/replacement of the North and South POV gate, gate operators, and adjacent fencing, and installation of new steel ornamental fencing and gate. Alternate #2 is to replace the existing gate controller devices and housing units with new pin pads / card readers / intercom by linking them back to the galaxy controller Bidders are required to show identification at the Guard Booth when entering the site and must sign in at the Security Officers desk once inside. Please allow sufficient time to comply with these requirements. No exceptions. Bidder bears the risk of late delivery. Any bids received after the stated time will be returned unopened. Project involves milling/demolition of multiple parking areas surrounding the Smyrna Readiness Center. Attention is called to the construction schedule as detailed in the Contract Documents. Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (VBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract and will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration of this award. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans.
