The Fountain Plaza Park & Playground Renovation Project (Project) scope of work includes, but is not limited to: demolition and site preparation, paving and hardscape, playground area with drain sump, installation of playground area surfacing (wood engineered fiber), installation of a drinking fountain with sump, site furnishings supply and installation (excluding playground equipment, BBQ grills, and bicycle racks), coordination with playground equipment installer, landscape and irrigation improvements, and other site work. The project also includes add alternate improvements. The work consists, in general, of furnishing all permits, materials, labor, services, tools, plants, supplies, equipment, management, superintendence, and all other work necessary to provide for the FOUNTAIN PLAZA PARK & PLAYGROUND RENOVATION. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of a Certificate of Deposit, Certified or Cashier's Check, Bidder's Bond or Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the Bidder's Grand Total Bid Price. The Bid Guaranty will be retained by District and applied to any and all damages sustained by District in the event that the successful Bidder fails or refuses to enter into the Agreement awarded to it and to furnish all required bonds and Certificates of Insurance. Site demolition, clearing, and grubbing - Site layout and staking - Temporary construction fencing - Excavation of demolished areas to subgrade -Rough and finish grading - Install new play area storm drain system (sump) - Tap into (E) domestic water system for (N) drinking fountain (downstream of (E) backflow preventer) - Install new concrete paving, play curb, play area curb ramp, mowstrip, and Type III curb - Install sleeves under (N) concrete paving - Install play equipment (by District retained Contractor Install play area fibar surfacing Play equipment inspection and report by CPSI (by District retained Contractor o Grind, prime, and paint (E) trellis affected by fence and gate removal o Install (N) site furnishings and signage o Remove, relocate, and re-install (E) site furnishings o Install drinking fountain and associated drywell o (E) Irrigation system adjustments/modifications as needed to accommodate (N) site improvements. o Turf repair o Tree installation o Bark mulch installation. o Tree root barrier installation. The work consists, in general, of furnishing all permits, materials, labor, services, tools, plants, supplies, equipment, management, and superintendence necessary to provide for the Fountain Plaza Park & Playground Renovation Project, except for purchase of playground equipment, BBQ's, and bicycle racks which will be purchased and installed by others.
