Separate Bids are requested on Prime Contracts for: Contract 1 - General Construction - Public Area Contract 2 - Mechanical - Public Area Contract 3 - Electrical - Public Area and Guestrooms Question Deadline 01/16/2023 at 4:00 PM ET Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents via the "Clarifications" feature in PennBid Award Date: 1/27/2023 Construction Start Date: 1/30/2023 All bidders must submit bid security in the amount of 5%. Erie County Convention Center Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids that do not meet bid requirements. The Owner requires that all bids shall comply with the bidding requirements specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The owner may, at its discretion, waive informalities in bids, but is not obligated to do so, nor does it represent that it will do so. The owner also reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Under no circumstances will the Owner waive any informality that, by such waiver, would give one Bidder a substantial advantage or benefit not enjoyed by all other Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid before sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, unless a mistake to error is claimed by the Bidder in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. Bidder also agrees to complete the Work set forth in the contract documents within the contract duration. It is understood that the contract shall achieve Substantial Completion on or before June 2, 2023. Bidder agrees that time is of the essence. If the Work is not completed within the contract duration or any extension of that time, the Bidder shall pay the Erie County Convention Center Authority as liquidated damages and not as apenalty for such failure, the amount of Five Hundred dollars ($500.00) per day for each and every calendar day thereafter until such work is completed and accepted. The Contractor and its surety shall be liable for the amount thereof.
