The Work comprises furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and services for the following: Roadway reconstruction, asphalt paving, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter reconstruction, storm sewer, ornamental lighting and the addition of an asphalt cycle track. This project is located along Lake Street, beginning at the intersection with Lake St. and 3rd Ave. and continues north approximately 0.92 miles, to just south of the lake front. The Board meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM local time. Bids received after this deadline will not be accepted. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check on a solvent bank or trust company, drawn to the order of the Gary Storm Water Management District, or an acceptable Bid Bond, in an amount of not less than 5 percent (5%) of the total Bid. This sum is a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled time for the opening of Bids or authorized postponement thereof. However, no Bid may be withdrawn for thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for opening, unless agreed to by the OWNER. Your participation is both welcome and encouraged.
