The proposed work for the 2023 Sanitary Sewer Manhole Sealing Program consists of internal pressure grouting of approximately 30 manholes, barrel sections and pipe seals, and related rehabilitation work, located in the Village of Bolingbrook, in accordance with the Plans and Specifications as set forth in the Contract Documents. DESCRIPTION - SANITARY MANHOLE WALL TO BE PRESSURE GROUTED Under this item, the Contractor shall drill a hole completely through a wall of an existing sanitary sewer manhole near a wall joint crack or leak as determined by the Engineer, pump a water-reactive, urethane liquid gel chemical grout behind the wall using automated injection sealing equipment, including variable rates of injection, variable pressures of injection and instrumentation for measurement of same until the leaking wall joint or crack is completely sealed water-tight, and clean-up work site and manhole of any waste material. Chemical grout shall be manufactured by Avanti (AV-100 chemical grout) or be an approved equal. Grouting shall be performed to manufacturer's specifications. The Contractor shall be paid for each set-up and injection required to stop the leak in each manhole.
