Demolition and site work for a power facility in Frankfort, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the demolition of a power facility; and for site work for a power facility.
1. Demolish existing abandoned power plant building and associated components. Demolition of two ancillary structures across the street and partial site stair removal. Coordinate street closure and traffic re-routing with specified parties and authorities. Abatement of hazardous materials per the referenced report. Building new CMU walls in the existing tunnel to block access. Provide new gravel lot in area of demolished building. Add Alternate 1 Remove existing piping in the tunnel between new concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls. Service Start : 12/20/2022 Service End : 2/15/2023 2. Substantial Completion is defined as the project is sufficiently complete, in accordance with the construction contract documents, so that the owner may use or occupy the structure for its intended purpose without affecting daily operation. 3. The time for Contract Completion is 28 Calendar Days beyond Substantial Completion date.
